Who’s Speaking?

Avnie Shah

Avnie Shah

London, UK

Artist, Coach, Thought leader, Art by Avnie and Founder / Host of the Summit

Creativity helped Avnie express her trauma and overcome past struggles. From a young age, she felt invisible and struggled to belong, constantly striving to fill a leaky bucket. Surviving the Bali bomb explosion in 2002 and witnessing her mother’s traditional funeral in a remote Indian village intensified her feelings of loneliness and frustration. However, these experiences fuelled her personal growth over a decade, shaping her into who she is today. Selling her art in Dubai and organizing events like the 80/20 artist summit and Unwined, Paint & Sip brought the transformative power of community to light. Seeing others overcome challenges, improve their well-being, and find purpose brings her immense joy and contentment.

Avnie’s Vision: To support artists worldwide to expand their creativity and be fully expressed.

How To Discover The Light

With 25 years of experience as a Marine Engineer, sailing on large Crude Oil Ships and overseeing a fleet of oil tanker ships, my professional journey has been exhilarating. Today, I embrace the role of an entrepreneur, managing diverse businesses in real estate and music. The Landmark Forum has played a significant role in shaping my life, propelling me into exciting ventures such as being the frontman of a renowned heavy metal band in India and leading my Bollywood Rock Band, Shoonya. Alongside these adventures, I have found profound joy in connecting with people, witnessing their empowerment and self-expression. I am committed to a world without boundaries, where individuals are free to live their dreams without hesitation.

How To Discover The Light

Every experience and moment in our lives elicit different feelings in people and when you don’t understand what is happening or how to manage them.  This becomes a great weight rather than the gift it ultimately can be. For years, Jimi suppressed and avoided those feelings because they made him uncomfortable. He was unsure what they meant, didn’t like how they felt, and inevitably ran from them. Avoiding his feelings led to loneliness and isolation, stunting his emotional and spiritual growth. Ultimately, Jimi’s art is redemptive. His work offers a space that allows the art to speak to the soul.
